The islands

The island republic of Cape Verde is located off the coast of Western Africa, only 6 hours flight from England. The islands are a natural paradise, enchanting travellers with the diversity of their sceneries. Wild mountains, tropical fertile valleys, mighty volcanoes and fantastic pearl-white beaches are still untouched by the onslaught of mass tourism.
Besides the overwhelming nature experiences, the special charm of these islands is characterised by encounters with hospitable people, their unaffected lifestyles, their music and their joie de vivre.
The sun shines 350 days a year, and thanks to a constant breeze blowing in from the ocean, the islands are blessed year-round with a mild and dry climate, with temperatures between 22°C and 30°C. One can swim in the Atlantic during the whole year, the water temperatures vary between 22°C and 27°C.
The political and social conditions are stable and there is no criminality worth mentioning.
